How to create channel on whats app

Create a channel

Open WhatsApp Web, and go to Channels by clicking on the Channels icon

• Click > Create Channel.
• Click Continue and continue through the onscreen prompts.
• Add a channel name to finish creating your channel. You can choose to change the name again at any time.
• Customize your channel: You can choose to customize your channel now by adding a description and icon, or wait until later.
• Add a channel description: Write a few words to help potential followers understand what your channel is about.
• Add Channel Icon: Add an image from your phone or the web to stand out.
• Click Create Channel and you're done!

Now that you're set up with a channel, learn how to share updates here. You can find and share your channel link from the channel information page.

To go to your channel information page:

Open Channels by clicking on the Channels icon.

Click on your channel and then your channel name.

Click on the copy link.

How to find channels

Find channels with topics that interest you:

Browsing the channel list: See all the channels available to you. The list is automatically filtered to show channels based on your phone number's country code and your language preference, but you can explore all channels by changing country, category, filter option and more.

Checking Recommended Channels: Check the channels recommended to you by scrolling down the Updates tab to see the Find Channels section. Channels are recommended based on channel metrics, such as how popular and active they are.

Finding channels through external links: Channel admins can share a link outside of WhatsApp to help people find their channel. Use the link to open the channel in WhatsApp and browse for updates.

Check the list of channels available to you by:

By clicking on the Channels icon

Click > Find Channels.

Channels with a green checkmark next to their name have been verified as authentic by WhatsApp.

From there you can sort the list based on what interests you the most:

Browse categories and filter channels by topic: see which channels are new, popular or most active. Filter channels by your interests such as sports, news, culture and more.

View channels from other countries: View the list of channels available in other countries by changing the country.

Search by Channel: Click to search through all the channels available to you. Search results can be prioritized by channel metrics, such as how popular and active they are. When you search for channels, search terms are logged to make it easier to find channels and to improve the search and channels experience.

You can preview channel updates before you follow:

To see what kind of updates a channel posts, click the channel name to preview recent updates.

Learn more about the channel by checking out their channel information page. Click on the channel name or > Channel Info.
